In our view are my favorite hills, The Cerrillos. In these hills are ancient turquoise mines. This is always exciting to me, as these mines existed long before this place was called Santa Fe, and they may be some of the oldest mines in the country.  Learn about Cerrillos Turquoise mines HERE.  
I hear that turquoise protects from rattlesnakes, calms the spirit, heals trauma and is related to the sky. Worth a shot.
