When we finally arrived here,  this house had sat still and unoccupied for almost a year. We moved from many states and worlds away. The drive was long and a mental cracker, my big dog whined for the 1st 18hrs. Ogden is the coldest place on earth. Moving is not good for the strength of the DNA strands.

This house is off-grid. Off-grid living was new to us; we had no idea what this system would be like, or if it even would work after so long without the attention that it requires.  That very first night, looked ok – lights were on, fridge was cold – but then we flushed the toilet.
